A touch film is a transparent film that accurately senses human touch through a substrate (a non-metallic substrate, including glass, acrylic, wood, or plastic). It is a
core component of precision positioning devices such as touchscreens, primarily addressing the problem of precise touch positioning. It consists of four main
components: PET film (polyethylene terephthalate, a transparent, flexible plastic that is heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant), nanowires (ultrafine wires made
by sintering metal nanoparticles), a control circuit board, and driver software.
X-axis and Y-axis nanowires are encapsulated within the PET film using digital packaging automation equipment according to a specific pattern, forming a sensing
matrix. Each matrix unit is a proximity sensor capable of detecting touch actions in different directions. These matrix units form a holographic touch sensing matrix.
The touch sensing matrix inputs sensing signals to the control chip, which then eliminates noise and transmits valid touch signals to the upper-level driver software,
achieving precise positioning, triggering actions, and realizing touch functions. The sensing principle of the nano touch film is an improved projected capacitive
touchscreen.
The ITO layer (indium tin oxide, a material often used in the manufacturing of capacitive touchscreens and LCDs) is replaced with a nanowire layer. High-precision
measurement algorithms accurately calculate signal changes. The lack of an ITO layer is one of the key features that distinguishes the nano touch film from other
projected capacitive touchscreens.
Technical Features
1. High Transparency and Flexibility: The nanomaterial boasts an optical transmittance exceeding 90% and is bendable and foldable (radius of curvature <1mm),
making it suitable for applications such as curved screens and wearable devices.
2. Multi-Touch and High Sensitivity: Supports over 10 touch points, with a response time of <5ms and a pressure detection accuracy of 0.1N, surpassing traditional
ITO (indium tin oxide) film.
3. Environmental Adaptability: High-temperature resistance (-30°C to 80°C), corrosion resistance, and stability in humid and oily environments.
Applications
Touchscreen
Integrated nano-touch film can be used to implement products such as interactive projection systems, all-in-one touchscreen devices, touch tables/desks, touch
walls, touch TVs, and touch kitchens. These integrated systems or solutions can be used in various settings, including exhibition halls, showrooms, shopping malls,
hotels, train stations, airports, government offices, homes, and classrooms.
Security
Due to the precise positioning capabilities of nano-touch technology, it can also be combined with weapon systems to develop security products that precisely locate
thieves. This can be achieved with security carpets (security carpets), security walls, and more.
Sci-Fi
Applying GDT nano-touch film to transparent media enables air-to-touch functionality, enhancing the user experience and creating a sense of sci-fi. It is suitable for
24-hour unmanned locations.
